Meta Museum primarily processes museum collection metadata, provider source URLs, generated diagnostics, and review evidence needed to keep claims auditable.
Page analytics
When Google Analytics is enabled, Meta Museum uses GA4 page analytics and five public discovery events to understand first artwork visits, continuation, return visits, downloads, and shares only after this browser grants analytics consent. These events exclude direct user identifiers and professional routes; browser-local visit markers can be cleared with site storage. The privacy choices control lets visitors accept, decline, or change analytics storage later. Ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization remain denied in the site tag.
Provider provenance
Imported records preserve provider attribution, source URLs, and source snapshots so data lineage stays inspectable.
AI evidence
AI features are expected to cite source records or refuse. Review evidence is governed by the AI-RSI operating procedure.
