If any digest differs, stop and request a newly frozen protocol. Do not mix evidence from different revisions.

Independent researcher return form

The downloaded file is pseudonymous. The facilitator must separately retain your identity, affiliation, and conflict disclosure so the review is attributable during release approval.

Track 1

Independent dossier review

Without assistance from the producer, reproduce the bounded answer, verify the RBS primary entry, identify at least one disagreement or non-comparable result, and state what the evidence does not prove.

  • answer reproduced
  • primary evidence verified
  • disagreement exposed
  • claim boundary accepted or corrected

Minimum independently checked source URLs: 3.

Track 2

Researcher speed and reproducibility study

Eligibility: A genuine provenance researcher, curator, archivist, collections-information professional, or closely related practitioner who did not produce this case.

  1. Using the listed external sources without Meta Museum's dossier or interface, answer the frozen question and retain the source URLs used.
  2. After a washout or counterbalanced ordering, answer the same frozen question using /research/rosenberg and retain the source URLs used.

Timing: Start at first exposure to the task; stop when the participant submits an answer and citations. Cap each condition at 30 minutes.

  • At least 3 genuine researchers.
  • Median time improvement ≥ 20%.
  • Reproduction rate ≥ 80% across at least 3 sources.

Run a researcher comparison session

Track 3

Non-specialist boundary comprehension

Eligibility: A genuine consented adult who does not work or study professionally in art provenance, restitution, museum collections, or art history.

  1. In your own words, what does the evidence support about the Braque and Paul Rosenberg?
  2. In your own words, name at least two conclusions the evidence does not establish.

Two independently identified human coders use the frozen rubric; disagreements are adjudicated before import.

Pass threshold: at least 80% of 5 or more participants correctly explain both claim and boundary.

Integrity rules

  • Collect pseudonymous participant codes, not names, emails, IP addresses, or contact details in the response file.
  • Record voluntary consent and the exact frozen dossier digest.
  • Do not import synthetic, rehearsed, producer-authored, duplicated, or revision-mismatched sessions.
  • Retain de-identified open responses for audit; do not replace them with scores alone.
  • Human approval remains required even when thresholds pass.

Current status: blocked awaiting genuine external evidence. Passing the evaluator is necessary but still does not authorize publication.
